Comptroller John Liu has said that he is embarrassed by the inquiry, but on Tuesday said he’ll continue to act as the city’s financial watchdog.
“We haven’t missed a beat. We’ll continue to audit city agencies vigorously, looking for waste of taxpayer money,” said Liu after an appearance at the headquarters of DC 37, the city’s largest municipal union on Tuesday.
I have no idea if the guy is innocent or guilty, what I do know is that politicians never resign unless they are physically pushed out of their office.
