Amjad Awad, from the village of Awarta, was convicted of five counts of murder. He will be sentenced at a later date.

Awad is the second Palestinian to be convicted in the murders of the five Fogel family members – Udi Fogel, his wife Ruth, and their three children Yoav, 11, Elad, 4 and 3-month-old Hadas. His cousin Hakim was previously convicted of the murders in September.

According to the Shin Bet investigation, the two Awad cousins infiltrated the settlement of Itamar and first stole an M-16 rifle from an empty home and then entered the Fogel family home where they killed the two sleeping boys – Elad and Yoav – and then the parents.

The two then left the house, and after fearing that Hadas, the three-month-old baby, would cry and alert neighbors, they returned to the home and killed her as well.

Perfect. Then in a few years release them in a prisoner swap.

This is why Israel desperately needs death sentences. So animals such as Amjad don’t go free in the next prisoner exchange.

    Execute him.

Without jumping down my throat can someone please explain why this is in military court?

They broke into a house and found a gun? With bullets and all? Interesting because when I was in the IDF nobody left guns “laying around”. Now I am suspicious of this story.
