The Rev. Michael Kinnamon gives few details of his interview with Alan Gross of Maryland, but says they had a “good conversation.”

Kinnamon says the New York-based National Council of Churches is concerned for Gross’ health and hopes he may be freed on humanitarian grounds. But he has no knowledge of when or whether that may happen.

Gross was arrested Dec. 4, 2009, while working as a subcontractor on a democracy-building project funded by Washington.

Kinnamon and a second member of a visiting delegation from the National Council visited Gross on Wednesday.
