Berlin – A senior German official says the government has approved the subsidized sale of another Dolphin-type military submarine to Israel.

The official says Germany has set aside euro135 million ($180 million) in next year’s budget to pay for about a third of its cost.
Dolphin-class submarines are capable of carrying nuclear-tipped missiles, but there is no evidence that Israel has armed them with such weapons.
Israel already has three Dolphin submarines from Germany — one half-funded and two entirely funded by Berlin, a staunch Israeli ally.
The official, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the issue, said Wednesday a 2005 agreement between the two nations included an option for another subsidized submarine which was now activated at Israel’s request.
I have family that will not ride in a German car. Yet, it appears today that Germany is no longer the enemy of the Jewish people. Each generation it is different.
The subsidy for the Dolphin class submarine still is based on the Wiedergutmachung or reparations for murdered European Jews those who died in Birkenau, Treblinka, Sobibor,etc. Some on this website think it is gibberish the Israeli defense department collects cash
This is the 5th submarine [Dolphin] delivered to Israel and their home port is Haifa. The frist two were a gift or delivered gratis. The next three were delivered with a diminishing subsidy approved by the Bundestag. The Dolphin class can carry cruise missles and has the most advanced oxygen regeneration system next to the nuclear submarines.
To #1 - When I was in EY, I saw many taxis which were Mercedes, made in Germany. The boat which took me across the Kinneret, was also made in Germany. There are many German tourists in EY. Also, El Al has direct flights from EY to Germany, and vice-versa. Lufthansa Airlines also has direct flights to EY.
All points are well taken. Let’s also not forget that israel has very little concerns about taking german technology. In fact, according to rabbi weissmandel in his writings the zionists have a direct hand in the killings of thousends by the germans. The israelis directly interfered with the rescue mission, hence sending thousends to the gas chambers.
