According to Fairfax City police, Babbitt was charged with driving while intoxicated after a patrol officer spotted him driving on the wrong side of the street and pulled him over about 10:30 p.m. Saturday in Fairfax, Va.
Babbitt, who lives in Reston, was the only occupant in the vehicle. Police said he cooperated and was released on his own recognizance.
The Department of Transportation said in a statement that the leave was taken at Babbitt’s request.
It’s good he was only driving not flying
This is infinitely worse than anything Cain has been accused of. The only thing worse would have been if he was flying drunk.
What’s the big deal?
It’s not like he was flying drunk!
Babbitt suspended and fired several air traffic controllers for sleeping and/or drinking on the job; I guess that he sets a good example for them!
He sure knows how to fly off the handle!
No wonder why all the ATC employees are either falling asleep on duty and the like. Look who their boss is!!!
