Mizrahi was convicted of aggravated assault as part of a plea bargain.

According to the verdict, in November 2009 Palestinian terrorist Waseem Maswada entered a “Yellow” convenience store located in a gas station store at the entrance to the West Bank settlement of Kiryat Arba and stabbed Tamar Mizrahi in the throat. He proceeded to flee the store and stab another person. The gas station’s security guard shot the terrorist, and three IDF soldiers surrounded him as he lay wounded on the ground.

After being informed that his wife had been stabbed, David Mizrahi made his way to the gas station, drove past the soldiers and ran over the lower part of the terrorist’s body.

Mizrahi was initially charged with attempted murder. The State Prosecutor’s Office asked the court to sentence Mizrahi to at least one year in prison.

In his dissenting opinion, Judge Zvi Segal wrote that David Mizrahi was in a state of “great distress” when he had heard of his wife’s stabbing, adding that the court “felt the defendant’s despair and sorrow.”

Only in Israel. This should be publicized to show how free and democratic Israel is, even more so than the US.

Nobody asked how his wife is?

This is similar to the Bernhard Goetz case, where the community wanted to lynch a citizen for trying to protect himself from robbers on the subway!

Israeli lack of justice. A man witnesses his wife stabbed and reacts by hitting the terrorist with his car and is convicted. Disgusting Israeli justice system.

the punishment he got is a slap on the wrist. Everyone know he did a mitzvah but they want to make it look like they are being fair and equal. Let’s face it, the reason the terrorist almost got killed by the guards and then this guy is because he tried to kill 2 people, so, in summary, he got exactely what he deserved and actually less, because it would have been no loss had the soldiers just blow the guy away as soon as he did the stabbings.

What a miscarriage of justice, all to be blamed on the liberal thinking that has already gripped the US and other western societies. A violent criminal caught in the act should be seen as having forfeited his life, and the one who helps the world in eliminating that person should be honored. Meanwhile, Israel also paid for the medical care given to someone who deserved death. This reversal of common sense that is perpetrated to adhere to liberalism is appalling.

He should be given a National award for invaulable service to the community.
In Chelm we could not defend ourselves! What happened to the
idea of being a free Nation in our Homeland – oh I forgot the Israeli National
is offensive to Arabs – excuse me.

I wonder how he will serve his community service. Maybe he could be a crossing guard.
