Des Moines, IA – Republican Mitt Romney is emphasizing his 42-year marriage in a new ad airing in early-voting states, inviting a clear contrast with thrice-married Newt Gingrich, who leads in Iowa and is closing on Romney in New Hampshire.

The commercial marks a new phase in the GOP presidential nomination campaign, one focused more on character issues than their policy differences.

Romney’s ad is a montage featuring the former Massachusetts governor, wife Ann and their children and grandchildren.

Romney says — quote — “I think people understand that I’m a man of steadiness and constancy.”

The spot comes the same day that Texas Gov. Rick Perry is airing his second faith-focused ad in Iowa, where he trails badly less than four weeks until the leadoff caucuses.

Romney’s marriage, his religion & his business experience (mostly downsizing companies, firing most of the employees & consolidating the assets, but… I digress), are pretty much the ONLY things that he’s been consistent about in his entire life!

But even in THESE areas, he’s still got ol’ Newtie beat! Gingrich has flipped, flopped, flapped & I don’t know what else, for most of his career, his political life AND his personal life, obviously. The fact that he left his traditional Christian faith for Catholicism (an even *worse* branch of Avodah Zara, if you ask me), just to please his 3rd mistress, er, wife… just goes to show that he’ll fly any way the wind blows!

And then come on tv the next night & swear his feet never left the ground! (lol) I’m serious!

He’ll call Paul Ryan’s plan to privatize Social Security & to turn Medicare into a voucher system, “Social Engineering from the Right” (which is **IS**)….

But then turn around & claim on Fox News he never REALLY said that, and that’s not REALLY what he meant, and blah, blah, blah…

    Come on!

    He’s such an embarrassment people!

You’re all crazy for not giving John Huntsman a 2nd look…

    But oh well!

    Obama 2012!

Sherry, I’d like to know sources for your statement, “(mostly downsizing companies, firing most of the employees & consolidating the assets…But, I digress)”.
    Thanks.
