Liu filed a notice of claim Nov. 1 and says the city denied his campaign about $3.5 million in public funding. His lawsuit is seeking unspecified money damages.
The city board of elections denied the funds based in part on allegations of fundraising violations. According to a statement in August, the ruling was based in part on the prosecution of Liu’s campaign manager and former fundraiser, found guilty in October.
The notice of claim was filed with Liu’s office, and his attorney told the Daily News of New York that he has recused himself from the matter (http://nydn.us/17S8JcA ).
Scott Stringer was elected the new comptroller.
A loser twice over….take him out to the old landfill on staten island with a shovel and leave him .
Liu will LOSE this case!
The new definition of chutzpah, after the classic orphan case. Liu should thank his lucky stars he was not personally brought into the campaign manager case.
