Holocaust survivors using Medical marijuana in Israel

Holocaust survivor Moshe Roth, 81, a writer and painter born in Nancy, France, receives medical marijuana by a nurse to smoke in his old pipe in the Hadarim Nursing home in Kibbutz Naan, near Rehovot, Israel, 27 April 2014. Tikun Olam is a company that distirbtes cannabis for medicinal purposes to patients who received special permission from a doctor. During the past two years the company opened the project called ‘Project 70 Plus’ for elderly among them dozens of Holocaust survivors suffering from post trauma, lack of sleep and eating problems eligible to receive the special treatment at the nursing home. Israel will mark the ‘Holocaust Martyrs’ and Heroes’ Remembrance Day’ on 27 and 28 April, as the country honors and remembers of the six million Jews exterminated by the Nazis during the Holocaust of World War II.
