At least 12 people were killed, including a one-year-old child, and several others were injured, with four in critical condition, after a fire broke out in a five-story building in the Bronx, Mayor Bill de Blasio said at a press conference from the scene adding that ‘it is the worst fire tragedy we have seen in this city in at least a quarter century.’ More than 160 firefighters responded to the blaze, the fire department said.
