Bomb kills 1 student, wounds 7 in Italy

Brindisi’s Mayor, Mimmo Consales, blamed the attack on the Morvillo Falcone institute on the mafia. ‘It’s an unprecedented attack by organized crime,’ he told the television station TeleNorba. The bombs exploded at 7.45 am (0545 GMT) as students, mostly female, were arriving for classes.
