Police say it happened at about 11:49 p.m. on Monday. Police say they got a call about a man screaming on Grove St.
Witnesses say two black men in their late teens to early twenties had come but behind the victim and hit hit in the head. They ran away when the victim started screaming for help.
Police found one of the men running away from responding vehicles. They caught Stanley Joseph, 18, of Suffern.
Other witnesses gave police a vehicle description and license plate that lead officers to the second suspect, Jennifer St. Amand, 20, of Suffern.
Police say the suspects made statements that they were specifically targeting Jewish community members so they face hate crime charges along with robbery charges.
THIS ARTICLE IS POORLY WRITTEN!!! Witnesses say two black men in their late teens to early twenties had come “but” behind the victim and “hit hit” in the head. They ran away when the victim started screaming for help.
Nevermind the grammar- two black MEN? And the 2nd one’s name is JENNIFER???
Let them enjoy prison…the longer there the better off for all of us.
There is more anti semitism in Ramapo than ever before. The almost 100% chasidic school board for the public schools voted to take away sports, art, music, and cut teachers tremendously. Just today, the former school board President, Nathan Rothschild, will be given his sentence for fraud.
The victim was my friend… he didn’t have a cellphone but thank god he had a loud voice and people heard him screaming and came from the HATZOLAH garage to help him
.. MEE KE’AMCHA YISROEL 🙂
For some reason, it is considered acceptable by the news media, for members of the Black community to target Jews. However, in the extremely rare instances that it is the other way around, where Jews are accused of attacking Blacks (i.e. the Shomrim member who allegedly attacked the son of a NYC cop), then it is a different story. In those instances, the news media will really sensationalize such stories.
A hatzoloh member who was at the monsey hatzoloh garage saw the assault and called the police, the black guys then fled towards main street and other bystanders called the cops as well and got a description of the car. police were there right away and arrested the two guys, shortly later the woman got arrested. Good job ramapo police and good job to the hatzoloh member who called right away!
