Chicago, IL – Uptown Synagogue Targeted For Second Time

Chicago, IL – The Agudas Achim North Shore congregation on North Kenmore was burglarized Saturday night.

Police say the thieves broke through a lower floor window and vandalized the synagogue’s charity box.
Detectives believe the thieves are the same people who stole computers and audio visual equipment from the synagogue a week ago.

In February 2006, vandals broke into the synagogue and spray-painted racist and anti-Semitic graffiti on its walls and windows.

Synagogue officials hope people will donate funds to help recover the costs of their loss. [chicagonews]
