The congressional campaigns of incumbents and challengers are already making decisions on the upcoming elections and a scheduled June 26 primary based on the March 6 lines drawn by U.S. Magistrate Roanne Mann.

The state Senate’s Republican majority and the Assembly’s Democratic majority which could change the lines have no serious objections.

The judge’s lines would eliminate the Hudson Valley’s current 22nd District represented by Democratic Rep. Maurice Hinchey, who is retiring. She also proposes to eliminate Republican Rep. Bob Turner’s 9th District in Queens and Brooklyn.
