New York – Attorney General Will Cut Off 1,649 Charities

    (AP Photo/Frank Franklin II)New York – State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman plans to cancel the registration of 1,649 charities — cutting off their ability to raise private funds and get taxpayer-funded government grants in New York — because they have not filed required paperwork with his Charities Bureau.

    Letters will go out this week to the nonprofits, telling them that they have 20 days to submit the required reports before losing their right to raise cash.

    The Post has reported that the charity failed to submit federal tax returns and that hundreds of thousands of dollars — including money for college scholarships — had gone missing.

    New York is merely following up on what the Federal government started awhile back.

    This is good news! Cut of those who don’t have tranparentcy. Look at Mary J Bilge who soaked millions and dint do anything but line her skirt.
