Germany – A German court has ruled that circumcising young Jewish boys amounts to bodily harm even if parents consent to the procedure.

Cologne state court said the child’s right to physical integrity trumps freedom of religion and parents’ rights, German news agency dapd reported Tuesday.
The case involved a doctor accused of carrying out a circumcision on a 4-year-old that led to medical complications. The doctor was acquitted, however, and prosecutors said they won’t appeal.
The president of Germany’s Central Council of Jews, Dieter Graumann, called the ruling “unprecedented and insensitive.”
He urged parliament to clarify the legal situation “to protect religious freedom against attacks.”
Graumann said the circumcision of newborn Jews has been practiced for thousands of years and “every country in the world respects this religious right.”
Interesting ruling from a country that butchered these children just 70 years ago.
When you can’t recognize morals, in face of a lose, you are heading down a bad road…..
What about taking out a child tonsills?
What about placing tubes in the ears of children or hernia repair?
Anti-semitism rears its ugly head…big surprise it’s in Germany
When was it?
This week or back in 1939?
Sounds like Hitler is back
germany……
Well, the true colors are coming out again.
I assume that Germany is like the US, where stupid lower court decisions are ultimately overturned?
Jews don’t belong in Germany, they don’t belong in Europe, they don’t belong anywhere outside E”Y. Period.
guess ear piercings are next.
So, it’s now a crime to introduce Jewish children into the covenant of Abraham?
2012? 1936?
So much for not feeling (blamimg) the current generation of Germans for what we feel (blame) abbout their parents and grandparents.
I thank G-d every day that my great-great grandparents left Germany for America in 1871.
Here we go again. We’ve been through this exact thing with this same country several decades ago, which was just the beginning.
What the right wing couldn’t do with racism in the 1930s and 1940s the leftists will try achieving with their so called liberalism… but they too, like their forefather won’t achieve
Amalek ym”s, never seems to go away!
This law even if its passed its not gonna stop religious people from doing it…… Its a waste of time!
I am convinced that it will be overturned so everyone take deep breath and relax
Coming to a city near you.
Oy lanu, nachp’sah dracheinu vnachkorah vnoshuvah ad Hashem!
This is immediately reminiscent of the most recent Anti-Semitic, WWII era, but we must recognize it as going much further back than that – as in the times of The Inquisition, and farther back to Antiochus, and time of Churban Bais Hamikdash.
It has taken place numerous times when we strayed, and unfortunately chas v’Sholom, will continue til Bias Hamashiach.
Members of our generation (baby boomers), certainly in the USA, have not B”H seen and felt real Anti-Semitism of past generations. However, unfortunately it seems on the horizon and closer. Our only recourse is Teshuvah!!!
We Jews will always circumcise our newborn males even if the Germans don’t approve. So many will have to be jailed that the government will zealously reinstitute the KL (Koncentration Lager) system .
rabboisai! its a rachmanus! now we can do it mamash lshem shumayim.
this was one judge in one city. Lets all calm down and see what happens? most likely it will be overturned.
This is merely a wake up call from the Ribono Shel Olam. I agree with the person who says jews don’t belong in Germany. Why should we be bringing them any bracha after what they did? Tell it to Chabad who built a million dollar center over there a few years ago. This ruling emanates from pure anti-semitism which was this time opportunistically directed at a Muslim family but probably meant for Jews. It could also mean that once again storm clouds may be gathering on the horizon chas v’ shalom……
But it’s okay for the father of a thirteen year old to give the okay for an abortion.
Calm down, people. The article says that the case involved circumcision on a four YEAR old boy. The case might be limited to its facts. I would like to read the facts of the case before rushing to judgment.
Relax! I don’t see anything related to specific German Anti-semitism, compared to other parts of Europe, like Austria, Poland, Ukraine, France, etc. Germany is ‘officialy’ doing relatively better. Rather, its the typical left winged Libtard Europe that is the factor here,in particular; the leftist court. Don’t be supprised if next on the list will be lovely San Fansicko (Oops…haven’t they ….?lol) Note, this ruling was in regard to a MUSLIM – not a jew…so cool it!
Outlawing circumcision is perfectly legitimate if that is what a government wants to do, but any such prohibition has to have a religious exception. But on the bright side, it is something German Jews and Muslims can both fight against.
