The Gillibrand campaign reported that it raised just over $2 million for the three-month period that ended June 30 in federal disclosure forms that were due Sunday. The Democrat is being challenged by Republican Wendy Long, whose filings weren’t immediately available.
The quarterly filings come a month after pre-primary filings that showed Gillibrand with a huge cash advantage over Long, who last month reported nearly $112,400 in her account.
Long, a New York City lawyer who has advocated for conservative judges, won a three-way Republican primary last month.
Gillibrand is running her second Senate campaign since she was appointed in 2009 to replace Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.
