Amman, Jordan – King Abdullah of Jordan spoke out out against Israeli attempts to “Judaize” the history and antiquities of the Old City of Jerusalem on Thursday, according to the Jordan News Agency.

Abdullah declared Israeli actions as “illegitimate” and “encouraging religious conflict.”
The head of the Islamic Waqf Council of Jerusalem, Sheikh Abd Al-Azim Salhab, echoed the allegations levelled by the Jordanian king, saying that, “these are difficult times for the city of Jerusalem because of the brutal Israeli attack that targets Jerusalem residents and Judaizes their city.”

Why doesn’t his Majesty, King Abdullah mention that during the 19 years that Jordan was in control of the Kotel, it used that site as a latrine? Even Ezer Weizman referred to King Abdullah’s father, King Hussein, as a jackal, since Hussein played both sides of the fence.

Arabs Islamicized Jerusalem for hundreds of years. They ethnically cleansed Bethlehem and Ramallah of Christians. Israel guarantees access to Muslim religious sites even when it has to arrest Jews who want to pray in the same place
