New York, NY – A new poll has found that a majority of New Yorkers believe the NYPD favors whites over blacks.

The New York Times poll says that view is especially prevalent among black. Eighty percent said police favor one race over the other; 48 percent of whites agreed.
The poll also found a majority of blacks said the department’s stop-and frisk policy contributed to harassment of innocent people. Most white respondents said the policy improved safety.
Among all New Yorkers, 48 percent said the policy was “acceptable to make New York City safer.” Nearly as many — 45 percent — said it was “excessive.”
The poll surveyed 1,026 adults by telephone from Aug. 10 to 15. It has a margin of error of plus or minus three percentage points.

The law enforcement favors whites? And does the sun come up in the morning and sets at night? Amazing!
Why wouldn’t men on the front lines of law enforcement favor generally law-obeying whites over black many of whom are… not?

I wonder who endorsed this poll and who in fact it was targeted at. I would not be surprised if it was some liberal PC nut.
You guys got to realize this is not about black and white or brown people the stop and frisks are unconstitutional and for anybody to say it make them feel safer is just plan ignorant when the Nazis did it to us the they also said they are doing it for the safety of the people. When you give to much power to the police department and they can beat people and stop and frisk and abuse there power at any time with out any consciousnesses. If the City of NY will give back the people the right to defend themselves like the constitution tells us to we will not have all this problems criminals will look else.
With the most swollen police dept in the world. They have o give them something to do. 35,000 officers for a city is meshugah!
sadly the people,who benefit the most from this stop and frisk are the many and most honest minorities
Most crimes are committed indoors, and many aren’t even reported to police. The President’s Commission on Law Enforcement and the Administration of Justice made numerous recommendations to law enforcement, regarding criminal law enforcement. The Stop and Frisk policy was not one of them. The NYCPD, to this date, has not produced an iota of credible data, which shows that its policy of searching citizens at random for weapons, has caused violent felonies to decrease. Also, it has no evidence to prove that stationing it officers overseas, has also caused NYC to be safer.
