Brooklyn, NY – In an effort to give Brooklyn voters, both Democrats and Republicans, the ability to express their frustration with current tax rates, State Senate Candidate Simcha Felder and Assemblyman Dov Hikind have joined forces and will be running together on the newly created Tax Cuts Now line in the upcoming November elections.

According to Felder campaign manager O’Brien Murray, the newly created line has been very well received since its creation, with 6,795 signatures collected in just six weeks.

“This is an opportunity for the voters in the district to send a message to Albany that they are fed up with high taxes,” Murray told VIN News. “We plan on talking to the voters, working people, business people, taxpayers and finding out exactly what they want so we can take their issues to Albany. This is about the men and women in this community being able to put food on the table and keep a roof on their heads and not send so much of their heard earned money to the government.”

“Families and people are suffering, especially now, given the economic downturn and the government has to respond by cutting taxes and not increasing spending,” added Felder.

Hikind was pleased to join with Felder on the newly formed line and said the number of signatures collected is a clear indicator that the platform of the newly formed party is one that resonates with voters.

“While I am running on the democratic and conservatives lines, I think Tax Cuts Now sends a very good message, a very positive message and I am happy to be part of the that team,” said Hikind.

There is no room to cut taxes at a time when we can’t afford what we’re spending. This is just another stupid ploy by politicians who think we are a bunch of stupid people.
I bet of the 6,000 signatures, 85%didn’t pay a penny in taxes and received huge EIC checks that were paid for by the other 15%.

Funny. This is a poor imitation of the Republican-dominated Tax Revolt Party in Nassau County. At least their candidates actually do want to lower taxes.

It seems that some people are not familiar with the way this works. Mr. Felder and Mr. Hikind… please answer this question: Cutting taxes means less income for the government. That means that in order to have a balanced budget you will have to cut spending to reflect the lesser income. Please tell us what spending you will be cutting to reflect this. Which programs will lose funding due to the loss of income.
