Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan also said Wednesday that Syria’s 18-month-long conflict had killed close to 30,000 people, including 2,200 children. He said some 76,000 people were missing.
Erdogan said inaction by the U.N. Security Council and the international community was giving Syria the “strength to continue its massacre.”
Turkey has become the Assad regime’s strongest critic and is host to Syrian opposition groups as well as some 80,000 refugees.
Earlier, Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi said Assad must learn from “recent history” and step down before it is too late.
they are finally waking up that the biggest killers of Muslim are Muslim themselves
So why doesn’t Erdogan send an aid flotilla to help those poor Moslems?
And your outrage and upset over the continuing missile attacks against Israel, the Toulouse shooting, the Mumbai massacre, the constraints on bris milah by Germany, the anti-Semitism in Sweden and other such actions against Jews would be…where, sir?
If you want compassion shown to Muslims against these attacks, try showing some to members of other religions when they suffer attacks.
I wish he felt the same way about innocent Jews killed by Arab terrorism.
“Turkey’s prime minister … is criticizing the world for just watching the slaughter of Muslims there.” Just as it watched when the Turks massacred 1 million Armenians during World War I, and just as it keeps watching as Turkey massacres Kurds in its eastern provinces.
Start first by criticizing your “brothers” for not doing anything about it because they DON’T CARE!
After 30,000 Arabs being killed, only now are they waking up????? What about the Flotilla that Israel had to defend themselves from those marauding lunatics?
They were so quick to condemn and vilify Israel. It’s just insane to think about it!
The numbers of arabs killed in this uprising is probably grossly exaggerated. The rebels, desperate for the world to intervene on their behalf, are driving the numbers up, without any proof of the matter.
We should stay out of this savages-killing-savages affair and let it take it course. Even if there is an eventual winner to this bloodbath, it is in our interest to see it greatly weakened in the process.
