“I have no doubt that [US President Barack] Obama put Jerusalem back in his party’s platform out of political and electoral considerations and because of the sharp criticism from Israel and the US,” Rivlin stated.

Democrats amended the party platform Wednesday afternoon to include language supporting Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

The last-minute change came in the wake of mounting criticism from Democratic members of Congress incensed that the 2008 platform’s declaration backing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel had been removed from the 2012 text. Sources close to the platform drafting process said Obama personally intervened on reinstating the Jerusalem language. The whole 2012 platform was originally adopted during the Democratic convention Tuesday night.

The Knesset Speaker said that the DNC did not remove Jerusalem from the platform “by mistake or because of forgetfulness,” and the change was not a coincidence that can be explained away by not paying attention.

“This is a problematic sign, indicating the gradual reduction of the American government’s strategic commitment to Israel,” he explained.

On Wednesday, prior to the reinstatement of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital in the DNC platform, Rivlin had stated that Obama does not understand the realities of the Middle East.

“The fact that the Democrats removed a united Jerusalem as Israel’s capital from their platform is more worrying than the argument over Iran,” Rivlin told The Jerusalem Post.

He might get more votes by keeping it off the platform. The significant leftist constituency of the Dwmocratic party is not a fan of Israel.

The Neturei KArta declares on its website and in the company of Arabs that the Zionist entity is illegal and for this reason the speaker of the Knesset is illegal too.
On this website the “tzionym” have been lambasted too.

He is probably correct. For the same reason GOP called out the Democrats for not having J’lem in the platform (the GOP platform is also weak as it relates to J’lem). I the politicians would stop using Israel and a voter getter.. They distort the importance of the Jewish vote. and feed into evangelical Christians.

The funny thing is that by all rights it shouldn’t have even made it back into the platform as the voice vote, which requires a 2/3 majority, was clearly in favor of the nay’s and they tried the voice vote three times to try and get the aye’s to be louder than the nay’s and they couldn’t do it!! Depsite that, the convention chairman said “in my opinion the aye’s have it”, and forced it back in which was followed by loud booing. It clearly demonstrated that leaving out Jerusalem as Capital of Israel was no accident. It was “with malice and aforethought”. The Democratic party that once was Israel’s biggest supporter is now ready, with full cooperation from their fearless leader, to throw Israel under the bus. Mark my words, if Obama gets re-elected it will be disastrous for Israel.

“I have no doubt that [US President Barack] Obama put Jerusalem back in his party’s platform out of political and electoral considerations and because of the sharp criticism from Israel and the US,” Rivlin stated” or burped.

Well I have no doubt that it was in the platform to begin with only for, “political and electoral considerations “! Live by the sword, die by the sword.

He’s right. President Obama and the Democrats are using Yerusholayim and US suppport of Israel to gain votes.

They are just like Romney and the Republicans and their commitment is no better than that of the GOP.

Who is fooled by either of them? If any of them were honest they would not be in the such a filthy business as politics. The fact that each has been so good at it that they are at the top of their respective parties proves they are no good.

Debbie ‘Whopper’man Schultz. Day after day, this modern day kapo reveals herself to be simply an obnoxious, distasteful, off-putting, disturbing, pathological lying, talking-points democ-rat hack; chosen to be DNC Chair soley to pander to and shore up the crucial south Florida Jewish vote for Obama.

of course he did it for votes. But I still won’t vote for him. Clearly there was NOT a 2/3 majority voting aye. It seemed to be 50-50. The chairman of the DNC took it upon himself to say what he said. What a fool.

The stupidity of the jewish left never ceases to amaze me – Obama doesn’t care for us, never did. He speakes out of two sides of the mouth. Don’t you realize that the DNC stands for “DO NOT CARE” for us anymore.
