Orange County, NY – Low-income families in Orange County looking for help in buying their first home now have one less money source. A nonprofit agency that has spent $1.1 million on housing grants since 2000 has been shot down.

RECAP's application was rejected. The agency had gotten money the previous times and used it to help 68 families buy homes. Each family got $14,000 in the first round and $25,000 from then on.
