Jerusalem – For The First Time Gaza Rocket Strikes Near Tel Aviv

    10

An Israeli civilian runs to take cover as a siren sounds warning of incoming rockets at the scene where a rocket, fired from Gaza, landed in the southern town of Kiryat Malachi November 15, 2012. A Hamas rocket killed three Israelis north of the Gaza Strip on Thursday, drawing the first blood from Israel as the Palestinian death toll rose to 13 and a military showdown lurched closer to all-out war with an invasion of the enclave. REUTERS/Nir EliasJerusalem – The Israeli army says a rocket has reached the southern outskirts of Tel Aviv, by far the farthest strike by Gaza militants in two days of fighting.

The military said the rocket landed in Rishon Lezion, a city just south of Tel Aviv located in heavily populated central Israel.

The rocket landed in an open area and caused no damage or injuries. Nonetheless, it illustrated the growing capabilities of Gaza militants.

The Israeli military launched an offensive on Wednesday, in large part to take out rocket launchers.

Israel’s military spokesman, Brig. Gen. Yoav Mordechai, says the air operation has delivered a “strong blow” to militants’ launching sites.

The great wisdom I’ve always heard is that the yeshiva bochrim do an equally important – if not more important – job of defending the country.
I’m hearing about, and seeing, the call up of soldiers. I’m waiting to see our rabbinic leaders call for a strengthening of learning, or asking bochrim to learn 18 hours a day. That’s what the soldiers are putting in.
Maybe they’re waiting for sightings in Bnei Brak before they act.

As there are no military targets in the immediate vicinity of Rishon L’Tzion, a functioning adult would conclude that the purpose of targeting that area was to terrorize the civilian population. It’s time for the IDF to return the favor with a few well placed bombs that disconnect Gaza from its power grid, and plunge its civilian population back into the darkness they deserve for permitting the Chablanim to operate without any limits on their activities. Let them also enjoy the terror of weeks – without electricity.

Imagine a country conducting a world-wide search for the best military general they can find. For three years, they search the military, the schools, everywhere one can imagine.
Then, once they find him, they won’t listen to him!
All this is happening because the Israeli govt. and people didn’t listen to the boss, the best general in the world..and a sagacious and kind person…’The Lubavitcher Rebbe!’
How man of Israel’s prime ministers visited him but wouldn’t listen?
‘The Rebbe, MH”M’ was against clearing out Gaza, against ‘The Bar-Lev Line, ‘ against giving even talking about ‘giving away’ any part of ‘The Holy Land.’
    Wake up ‘Yidden!’

Maybe a place to start is to avoid the sarcasm and putting-down of sectors of klal yisrael.
I’m not asking you to actually DO anything positive for the good of other Jews, but maybe just shev v’al taaseh.
When the danger is over, you can go back to belittling gedolim and lomdei Torah

Lets all hope and pray that no Jewish lives should get killed or injured c’v.Nebach three people were already killed.
Israel has no choice it must defend themselves but its time for torah observant Jews to open their eyes.Over sixty years and a day doesn’t pass without worrying what their enemies will do next.Look at those frightening pictures how people run for cover and all this is happening in a state which is suppose to be a safe heaven for Jews.
Every yom tov we say “Umipnei chatoeinu golinu meiartzeinu” that is the only reason we were sent into exile and not becuase we had a weak army. You can not go against Hashgacha Pratis uprising against hashem c’v.Im hashem lo yishmor ir shav shaked shomer.
