Police now believe this man caught on Surveillance might be the suspectNew York – The NYPD has shifted its focus to a single potential suspect as part of its ongoing investigation into the serial murders of three Middle Eastern store owners in Brooklyn. Chief of Detectives Phil Pulaski has officially requested that an FBI criminal profiler work with local law enforcement to generate a criminal profile of the killer who is targeting balding, middle-aged men of Middle Eastern descent, and then using a .22 caliber pistol to murder his victims.

Police sources told the Daily News (http://nydn.us/WgHoaa) they are now searching for the man identified in surveillance video as “John Doe Duffel Bag.” In the footage, the alleged suspect is seen fleeing from the scene of the most recent slaying, that of Rahmatollah Vahidipour on Friday night.
“We’re focused on the man with the duffel bag, mostly due to process of elimination,” one source said.

Originally, the NYPD were seeking to question four “persons of interest” in the case, but two people seen on video – a woman running with a man chasing after her – were interviewed and cleared of any involvement in the case. Police now believe that the woman ran after stealing a bottle of perfume from a Flatbush Avenue vendor who then pursued her down the street.

The fourth individual wanted for questioning, an older woman, is also not believed to be associated with the case, but police still want to interview her as a potential witness.

He doesn’t look like the typical shopper on that block of Flatbush Avenue.

thought he looked like a suspect right away…mustache could be fake too…and the duffel bag sort of looked out of place.

He looks Lebanese actually. Maybe there is a business connection between the three victims?
