The buses will replace the pirate transportation mechanisms that transported the workers irregularly and at exorbitant prices, the ministry said. For example, the fare to Ra’anana or Kfar Saba will be only NIS 5.10 and to Tel Aviv approximately NIS 10.60, while the pirate modes cost up to NIS 40.

While the new bus lines aim to increase service for Palestinian workers, these passengers are still free to use Israeli public transportation, the ministry stressed, noting that the office has no ability to prevent the travel of any passenger on any line.
