HAMODIA.com (http://bit.ly/19gcfP3) reports that Flores, who has nine previous arrests, including charges of public lewdness and weapons charges, stands accused of shooting Avroham Kaztow, Motty Pearl, Motty Brauner, and Yoily Klein as they closed in on him in Borough Park after receiving calls that he had exposed himself to children.

All four Shomrim members have fully recovered.

Sources say Flores’ lawyer, David Appel, tried to negotiate a plea bargain for his client on a lesser charge of manslaughter, but his efforts were rebuked by the DA’s office which is said to be adamant that Flores stand trial.

Officials say that as many as 50 witnesses are expected to testify in coming days.

Thank G-d the DA did not reject a plea of manslaughter. Someone would have to be dead for such a charge. I take it the defendant is charged with Attempted Murder.

Um, the DA’s Office did *INDEED* reject the plea of manslaughter offered by the defendent’s attorney. Not such a clear-thinker, I think.

The defendant cannot plead guilty to Manslaughter since no one is dead. That is what I meant. It would be treif, friend Ham, to plead to Manslaughter. It would cut the sentence appreciably if the defendant would plead to Attempted Manslaughter.
