In the last eight months, since the Vaad has begun compiling statistics, more than 20,000 nights’ of sleep have been furnished to those in need. Provisions include bedding, towels, soap, hot water, food, tableware and flatware, lighting and housekeeping. This undertaking by Vaad L’Hachnassas Orchim is colossal and very much needed.
Their fist annual fundraising event has been re-scheduled to Tuesday evening, February 5, 2008, at Ateres Chaya hall in Boro Park. A much deserved, tremendous outpouring of recognition and gratitude is anticipated. [jewishpress]
