Some 351 incidents – including threats, vandalism, harassment and other acts of hatred directed toward Jews – were reported statewide last year. That’s a 23% increase from 2006.
Long Island was the state’s epicenter of anti-Jewish hate with 118 incidents reported, a 59% increase from 2006.

65 in Manhattan, up from 56.

70 in Brooklyn, up from 67.

35 in Queens, up from 28.

10 in the Bronx, down from 13.

13 on Staten Island, the same as the previous year.
The statewide increase came at a time when similar incidents declined across the nation for the third consecutive year, the ADL said. [nydailynews]
