OU.org (http://bit.ly/1eScDUv) reports that Genackk, who also serves as rabbi of Congregation Shomrei Emunah in Englewood, NJ, first met Clinton in 1992 when he was asked to introduce the future president at a New Jersey fundraiser.

The proverb “Where there is no vision, people perish”—quoted by Genack during his introductory remarks that night—touched Clinton so deeply that night that he used it in his Democratic nomination acceptance speech later that summer, thus sparking a lasting friendship between the two that is still going strong.

“Bill Clinton has a tremendous amount of information on the Bible, not only as literature, but also as inspiration. The book is a testament to President Clinton’s openness and his extraordinary intellectual curiosity,” Genack said.

Genack, who is also a scholar on Abraham Lincoln, said that while Clinton and Lincoln cannot be compared, the two share an important character trait that is required of great leaders—humility, the same humility often found in Jewish kings.

Genack’s book also contains writings from other notables, including former Chief Rabbi of the United Kingdom Rabbi Jonathan Sacks; Rabbi Dr. Norman Lamm, the former chancellor of Yeshiva University; former Senator Joseph Lieberman, author Cynthia Ozick, Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz, and Raold Hoffman, a Nobel Laureate in Chemistry.

In Mishpacha this genius Genack spoke about -wait for it- …….Clinton’s “Physical Stamina”…… yuck! He also sent him encouragement in the midst of the whole Lewinsky affair. Not impressed at all.

If someone in our community did what Bill did with Monica and it was made public. Most people would be embarrassed to write a book about how close they are to that person and this fellow has no problem. Interesting!
