Women of the "Women of the Wall" organization wear prayer shawls and 'tefillin' (small black leather boxes containing scrolls of parchment inscribed with verses from the Torah, which are worn by observant Jews during weekday morning prayers) . "Women of the Wall" fight for the right for Jewish women to conduct prayer services, read from a Torah scroll while wearing prayer shawls, and sing out loud at the women’s section of the Western Wall. Israel National News (http://bit.ly/18m0O4g) reports that the Women of the Wall incited the confrontation, and that it is a reoccurring incident on every Rosh Hodesh, the first day of the Hebrew month.

The group of women insisted on praying in the Orthodox section, in spite of the fact that a separate prayer section for non-Orthodox Jews was set up by the Religions Ministry. The women were also wrapped in the prayer accessories of tefillin and tallit, which are customarily worn only by men.

Border Police pushed back Hareidim who forcefully tried to prevent the women from praying in the Orthodox section.

They got their own section. Why do they need to go to the orthodox one? Anyone know?

I think you should let them pray among the orthodox. The same way you allow for a toilet bowl to be placed in a synagogue. It wont change our direction and they might be more apt to realize that no one cares anymore. Let them be pagan lies. We have Hashem.

It’s interesting that all those “perutzos off the wall” are very unpleasant looking ones.
I guess all the good looking ones found their great husbands and are busy taking care of their families, and this ugly ones have nothing else to do but to cause machlokes and hilul Hashem.

None of us, literaly nobody, has the slightest idea of what HKB”H likes, and what causes Hashem to do certain things.
Therefore we should just not get involved in other people’s ways of serving Hashem.

She is not even mekayem the mitzva.
The Tefillin are too low on her forehead.

    All that for nothing.

Reply to 6. Don’t go so far, the batim are probably empty; why waste money on parshiot when you get the same effect without them? Then again maybe they borrowed them from their husbands; they probably haven’t had much wear and tear since their bar mitzvah!

A friend of mine owns a Judaica store in the Midwest. He says that two women came in last year and bought an artistic mezuza case for their temple. One of the women said to the other, shouldn’t we buy the parchment that goes inside it? The other answered, “No, we don’t believe in that.”
If I were one of these women, I think I would not have empty boxes. I would put in parshiyos of my own choosing. Why put in parshiyos chosen by unenlightened male chauvinists? I would put in parshiyos like Shiras Miriam and Shiras Devora. And maybe Shiras Michal bas Shaul, which she recited while Dovid danced.

It’s a tragicomedy. Don’t know whether to laugh or to cry when seeing these women in their Purim getup.

Check out their mission statement. There is NOTHING in it about G-d, Hashem, or improving relationship with Hashem and/or others. Their entire agenda is self-centered, and shame on them for bringing their charade to a holy place and bothering others who are there. If they don’t care about a relationship with G-d, why can’t they do this someplace else?

I think it is tragic that Yidden WHO SHOULD KNOW BETTER are giving these women the attention they crave.

If the women are l’shem shamayim, leave them alone, they are not hurting anyone.

If they are not l’shem shamayim, they want attention. Don’t give it to them.

The chilul Hashem is being caused by the Yidden who are supposed to be concentrating on their own davvening, not disrupting others.

I spoke to a relative of mine who goes to this mishigas. When I confronted her and told her that her Zeide AH would not be proud she said she would desist. Her tshuva lasted one time then the yezer horoh got her back in.She also teaches gemorah to woman.. Very sad it is basicaly her trying to exert a feminist agenda.I argued that since it is reform women leading the movement the whole Lshem shomayim is suspect .
