As reported by The New York Post (http://bit.ly/18yNBKL) several staff members of former DA Charles Hynes, whom Thompson overthrew in the November election, said they believe Kevin Richardson was fired as a favor to Norman.
On Tuesday morning, Richardson and six other higher-ranked staffers were told they must resign or Thompson would fire them when he takes his seat on January 1.
One source says Richardson was heard saying, “This is in retaliation for Clarence Norman.”
Richardson convicted the then-assemblyman in 2007 for stealing $5,000 donated to his re-election committee, for trying to conceal $10,000 in donations and for extorting $20,000 from a judicial candidate.
Norman was sentenced to 3 to 9 years on charges of grand larceny and falsifying business records. He entered a work-release program in December 2008 and was later paroled.
Richardson declined to comment to The Post.
“The incoming administration will not comment on personnel matters,” Thompson spokesman James Freedland said.

The whole office was corrupted under Hynes,The only way to clean up the mess is to clean house and for DA Thompson to bring in his own staff
