New York – Police Commissioner Bill Bratton made an appearance at the Upper West Side intersection where on Sunday an elderly Chinese man had an altercation with officers who were ticketing jaywalkers.

The New York Post (http://bit.ly/1igMByG) reports Bratton defended his officers’ handling of the incident with the 84-year-old. Bratton stated, “I’m not aware of excessive force in that at all. It was an unfortunate circumstance.”
Bratton said Kang Wong’s injuries happened from his fall during the situation, and added, “We’ll have to wait until we end the investigation and get an idea of what actually happened.”
The son of the man in the jaywalking incident criticized police for the physical altercation with his 84-year-old dad. Wong needed four staples in his head and is waiting for CAT scan results.
His son said they are “strategizing now” when asked if he and his family will sue the police department.
I’m not a lawyer but I’d love to take this case.
Of course Bratton is defending the police. He works for Comrade DeBlasio. If the victim had been black or hispanic, the police involved would all be suspended and under investigation. Welcome to the People’s Republic of New York ruled over by Party Secretary General DeBlasio.
Wang would say that even in China they treat elderly with more respect.

Bill, I love you, but in his case you are 100 percent WRONG. This poor old guy is going to have the shysters chasing him before the day is over and will sue for millions.
A classic case of police brutality at its worst.
Once a jury sees this picture and hears the story, this old mans children and grandchildren will be on easy street. The dumb cop that did this, will probably be cleaning out horse stables for the police horses in Brighton Beach for his next assignment.
The cops were in a tough spot. It’s an unfortunate situation, but I don’t see what particular action of the police you can criticize

Is he blind? Didn’t he see the photos in the news? What is the definition of “excessive force” if not a 84-year-old person with blood all over his face after having “contact” with the cops for having jaywalked the street?

Boy had this happened under Bloomberg or Guliani while Dblasio running for mayor, he would have attack this all day, “this will not happen in my administration” “we must act now” we will not wait”.
“stop and frisk, when it hurts no one, he stops it, 16-17 year old committing major crimes should not be charged as adults, but beating an 84 year old for jaywalking if fine and this Brat defends it, I see a white revolution coming.
The new mayor Adolf Dblasio is running the city into the ground already, the Jews should all have passports ready, the only Jews left should be the ones that supported and voted for him.

This is america, and the fact that he does not speak english is a big problem, next time a cop pulls me over I will just continue driving, and say I don’t speak english.

About three summers ago, in Whitehall, Ohio (a suburb of Columbus), a young Black woman, left her Grandmother in her car, in a parking lot at Walmart, while she decided to go shopping. The latter act was a big mistake, as her Grandmother had Alzheimer’s. She got out of their car with a knife, and began threatening other shoppers in the parking lot. The cops were called, and a police woman came and stated “Madam, please put the knife down”. When the elderly lady refused, the police woman had to physically subdue her, and in doing so, knocked her to the ground. As a result, she too, had a gash on her forehead, which started bleeding. A large crowd gathered, and began shouting “police brutality”. It looked as if a riot was going to ensue, and additional police units were rushed to the scene. Fortunately, a riot didn’t take place. Although the Asian man didn’t have a knife, it is possible that he could have fallen, in the struggle to arrest him. Fortunately, there were witnesses in this case, including reporters, and the family may be entitled to some compensation.
One look at the picture wins the case! What cop with a brain in his head hits an old man no matter what his race color, or creed? These cops should be thrown off the force no benefits!! To set an example to ALL other COPS!!
