Sergei Markov, who held meetings with pro-Russian authorities on the Ukrainian peninsula earlier on Monday, told reporters the soldiers would also be told they would not receive their next pay packet if they did not publicly renounce their loyalty to the new provisional government in Kiev, the capital.

“If they stay here and remain loyal to Kiev and the Ukrainian government, it will become more uncomfortable for them,” said Markov, who sits in a Kremlin-backed public policy chamber. “The pressure is going to increase tonight.”

Putin playing chess, Obama playing tiddlywinks. As in 1933-1939, west is asleep when the forces of evil attack. When will we wake up? When Putin is at the gates of EY w Syrian troops?

Youve got it wrong. the mob in the streets unseated a democraticaly elected govt. It is now mob rule.If they did not like him they should have voted him out or impeach him.Putin is a friend of the jews. He is suporting Assad because he is the lesser of two evils Those oposing Assad many of them are Al Quade afiliates. He is very friendly to the chief Rabbi of Russia and considers him a personal friend He came to the opening of the new shul in Russia. Rumor has it he was a shabbos goy for his neighbors as a kid.If you research the Ukranian opposition many of them are neo facist radicals . Their heroe is Petlura who killed hundreds of jews after ww1 in pogroms . Research the history of the facists.Putin is protecting Russian economic intrests they ship their oil and gas thru Ukrain. There alredy has been attacks on Jews and shuls with the new regime. I only pray that putin puts an end to the chaos . Just a sad note I was friendly with Gedalia Ah who was tragicaly killed in crown heights last week he was from the Ukrain. He showed me a video of the Ukranian Parlimant in session . They open umbrellas in parlimant to protect themselves as they throw eggs at each other at the debates.

To posters 3,4,5. Putin is no friend to Jews. He’s unleashed the Russian orthodox church, restored repression and supports Assad in Syria, and not because al qida is there. He was killing his own Syrians long before al qida gave Russian propogandists that excuse. Russia supports dictators such as in N. Korea, Venezuela, cuba. These are good for Jews, good for justice, for humanity? Oh, I heard he let chabad have control over Jewish sites in Russia, so that makes him ok. And Ukraine’s last election was 100% corrupt, with the bum x-prez looting billions. That’s ok too? Down with all dictators! Especially czar putin.
