The NEW YORK DAILY NEWS (http://nydn.us/1sodhRf) reveals that in a new Housing Project Report covering 2009-2013, crime in public housing has increased 31%, while the rest of the city has only experienced a 3.3% increase.

Using the interactive graph, users can click on any of the “seven major” crimes; , murders, rapes, assaults, robberies, burglaries, auto theft and grand larcenies—and match them up against the desired public housing unit.

Murders, overall dropped slightly, down to 58 from 62 during the period, but assaults are up 40%, grand larcenies 51%, and burglaries 28%.

Officials say the numbers have continued to spike through the beginning of 2014, and that a contributing factor is the growing number of fringe “crews” who display a penchant for everything from murder to domestic violence.

Deputy Chief Gerald Dieckmann of the Housing Bureau said, “Basically, almost the whole increase is domestic-violence-related.”

How suprising and I thought the cops were racial profiling and picking on poor minorities when they stopped and frisked.

The public housing in New York city has become a haven for criminals .We need a strong administrator to get itin top shape and get rid of all the criminals and their familys’ There should be a limit on how many years a family can pass on the rights to have an apt, it has gotten out of hand with familys’ holding apts. for 3 and 4 generations
In general people live in rental apts for perhaps 5 -10 years and move on in public housing they hold the apts for 30- 50 years
today the river views afforded in public housing has become most desirable and would command top rental dollars however the housing authority doesn’t wish to close down.

This is a great report since the police department gas always tried to hide the true reports and crime statistics especially in the 90 Pct. because they are very busy handing out false and phony cell phone and seat belt summonses and have no time to fight crime that puts the lives of the people in danger.

For the residents in Williamsburg, who’s leaders have all the connections to the police department, here is what you have to take a very close look, if you search for the NYCHA developments in Williamsburg.

Independent Towers located at 85 Taylor St. crime is up 60% in the last two years
Williams Plaza located at 325 Robling St. crime is up 40% in the last two years
these two are in the top 10 of over 300 developments

they all ask, where are the leaders, elected officials and the police department, so if you like to live in a development where crime is only going up and stay silence, then it will spread throughout the entire community before you know it, the drug problem is already spread all over and PD hasn’t done a thing.

They celebrate at Rose Castle drinking, people, please make it your duty to call 911 on every crime you see so they can’t deny it
