Palestinian U.N. envoy Riyad Mansour and ambassadors representing Arab, Islamic and non-aligned nations say that they expect an urgent council meeting to be held very soon. They spoke to reporters after meeting the Security Council president.

“We want the Security Council to shoulder its responsibility and stop this aggression against our people,” Mansour said.

He urged the council to adopt a presidential statement or a resolution to protect the Palestinian people and hold those responsible for the attacks accountable.

This will likely prove difficult because of deep divisions in the council, including the strong U.S. support for Israel.

Of course they pretend this action in gaza is without provocation or cause….no talk of the barrage of arab missiles hitting Israeli cities non-stop.

750,000 or so brother on brother deaths in Syria, similar numbers in Iraq, and Allah alone knows about Libya, Sudan, etc. And this is what gets them all upset.
Perhaps they should look in their own backyards first.

Maybe during the meeting, if they happen to have a few extra minutes & it’s not to difficult, they could bring up Syria, Iraq, & Ukraine.

No need for any meeting.. Just stop firing rockets into israel and all will be well.

Is that whole peninsula on drugs? What case can they possibly make to convince any sane person that Israel is the aggressor here?

You always know when we are making progress, because then they run to the Security Council. The Chutzpah is shocking.

Let’s hope Israel isn’t again pressured into stopping the gaza action, and prematurely entering into a worthless ceasefire before they’ve had a chance to destroy hamass.
Otherwise hamass will only regroup and start the rocket fire and terror attacks again r”l.

“calling for an emergency meeting” = “our side is losing.”

what about the hamas aggression that led u to this confrontation??? any country that is under constant indiscriminate attack has a full right and duty to protect its citizens from any harm????????
hamas rockets on innocent civilians are not acts of aggression?????
