EPA/ANDREW GOMBERTNew York, NY – A 49 year-old marijuana activist and founder of the POT Party—People Opposed to Tyranny—has staked claim to the July 22 white flag stunt on the Brooklyn Bridge, saying that the event was a non-violent act of civil disobedience aimed at bringing awareness to oppression in America under the Obama administration.

NYDAILYNEWS.com (http://bit.ly/UDBDcM) reports that the Rev. Bud Green, a self-described political activist and former producer for the Jerry Springer Show, said unhappy Obama supporters in New York contacted him about getting involved in an event that would showcase their disappointment with the president.

Green claims the white flags were originally Part 1 of two-part campaign, but that the second part has now been tabled due to increased security at the bridge.

Green said his July 4 post on his website titled “Pledge of No Allegiance” brought him to the attention of the disgruntled New Yorkers.

Green said he personally does not know who physically replaced the flags, but that he was clearly the mastermind behind the idea.

“You look at my history and you’ll see I’m telling the truth,” Green said. “I didn’t personally do it, but it was my idea. I believe in being showy and being political. You have to make a spectacle of yourself.”

Seriously, the NYPD still hasn’t cracked this? This is simply embarrassing for them.

“Green said he personally does not know who physically replaced the flags, but that he was clearly the mastermind behind the idea.”

If he was the mastermind how does he not know who did it? That doesn’t make to much sense.
