Mayor Bill de Blasio unveiled the Digital.NYC website Wednesday in Brooklyn.
The site was created in a public-private partnership. De Blasio said it will “help turn ideas into business.”
It will include resources for start-ups to find funding. Job-seekers get a chance to check employment listings.
The idea began under de Blasio’s predecessor, Michael Bloomberg.
Both mayors repeatedly have said that the city aims to rival Silicon Valley as a home for Internet and technology companies.
The launch came weeks after the city began distributing .nyc Internet domain names.
