Jerusalem – Residents See Attack on Arabs As Justified

Jerusalem – A day after a group of haredi youths assaulted two Arab men in Jerusalem’s Makor Baruch neighborhood Tuesday, area residents expressed anger and concern over the presence of Arabs in the area.

According to some eyewitnesses, the youths started attacking the Arabs following a heated discussion near a convenience store on Rehov Tahkemoni. Following the incident, the Arabs took refuge in a house across the street, where a family was sitting shiva. The family protected the Arabs until the crowd dispersed.

The assault came on the heels of a terror attack in the capital that afternoon, where an Arab construction worker from east Jerusalem drove a tractor into several cars and wounded 15 people.

“It’s not okay that Arabs come here. They should be kicked out of the area and out of the city,” said Aharon, a Makor Baruch resident. “They break into stores and cars. It’s happened several times that Arabs have attacked Jews here. They represent a threat.”

Aharon blamed the media and the police, who he said favored the Arabs and allowed them to commit criminal acts.

“The Arabs feel that the media work for their good and that the police don’t do anything to them, so they do what they want,” he said. “The police are very lenient with the Arabs and very strict with the Jews.”

Other residents defended the Arabs and called the Tuesday attack an expression of racism. While they felt that terrorists should face punishment, they condemned attacks on innocent Arabs.

As far I’m concerned, an arab is an arab and there’s no arab that’s ‘totally innocent’!

why can an arab walk freely in Isreal and the police won’t let any jew in the arab areas?

the same qestion applies to: why when isreal returns territory, jew can no longer live there; but arabs can live amongst us?

It’s hard to know who’s right here. On the one hand, arabs are arabs and we don’t really trust them. On the other Chareidim are known to pick fights. I’m undecided on this one, though I do feel bad for the family that was sitting Shivah and had to deal with this.

It’s amazing that when such an incident happens to arabs, the jews are still siding with them saying how inappropriate it was and how we shouldn’t harm the innocent… but when innocent jews are harmed/murdered, the arabs are busy celebrating! Mi K’Amcha Yisroel???

If Jews are not safe in Arab villages, why should Arabs feel safe in our cities? What do they contribute to our well-being and benefit? They are a dangerous element who are suspect as all arabs have a deep hatred for Jews in their heart. They steal from us, cheat us at every chance and are violent.

Whoever has been foolish enough to hire an arab to do work for them has always regretted it, as the work has almost always been sabotaged. Let them go find work and go shop in Ramallah or Beit Lechem. We do not need them they are a danger to us!

Arabs who have worked for Jews for even twenty years and gotten gifts on holidays and the birth of kids, have been know to turn and attempt to or even succeeded at murdering their bosses! They can’t be trusted!

Has anyone here ever heard of Hevron 1929? Jews that were neighbors and friends with Arabs for years were maimed, raped and murdered, R”L by their “close friends”. The arabs can not be trusted they are primative and can easily be brought to a frenzy by their “religous leaders” (as in 1929).

You don’t get the difference? are jews terrorists?

this attack was wrong, and an innocent arab is innocent, unless he does or pretends to do something .

You don’t get the point, these Arabs were in the process of attacking the owner of the Makolet, these brave Jews were protecting a fellow Jew. So you ask why didn’t they grab them and hold them till the police came? Because they would have continued to fight till either they escaped or died. And If by chance some 300 kg Jew sat on the arab till the mishtara came, he would be the one the cops would arrest not the Arabs. A cop once told me using your logic, “it is acceptable for arabs to steal attack kill etc. It isn’t Acceptable for a Jew”

That logic is as racist as Michelle Obama and Reverend Wright’s way of thinking!
