Wednesday’s statement comes a week after Cpl. Francisco Javier Soria Toledo was killed during the Israeli military’s exchange of fire with the Lebanese militant Hezbollah group in a disputed border area.

Spain’s U.N. ambassador quickly blamed Israel, and a U.N. diplomat has said Israel apologized through several sources, including an apology from its ambassador in Madrid to Spain’s foreign minister.

The U.N. is investigating the incident, and the council statement says members look forward to its “immediate completion.”

The violence along Lebanon’s border, which also killed two Israeli soldiers, was the deadliest escalation on the disputed frontier since the 2006 war between Hezbollah and Israel.

The UN observers are like the referees in “wrastling” matches who always seemed to looking away when the bad clobbered the good guy with a folding chair.

No condemnation of Hezzbolah for shooting over the UN recognized boundaries.

I tell you, these people will all have plenty of egg of their faces when mashiach arrives and forces their heads out of the sand.

Until then, it’s the golus. And these bizarre incidents must remind us that Hashem runs the world.

“strongest terms”. I guess this is as strong condemnation the UN has ever given. Why am I even bothering to comment about the UN.

They were obviously doing such a great job at peacekeeping in Lebanon…
as well as in Syria (where they ran across the border into Israel for protection) …
and as for Gaza – well, I guess they were stock piling the peaceful Hamas rockets in the school there.

We Should move the un from NY to isis territory This is crazy to openly condem an accident and not condem the open killing of innocent people… Is no worse than the murderers themselves

Not one word of condemnation from the UN about the 2 Israeli soldiers ambushed and killed by hizbullah Y’s”v this week! This polarizing, anti Semitic organization must be dismantled, and the US should cut off all funding!
