    A Long Island man is accused of pretending that he was an officer assigned to the 90th precinct in Williamsburg Brooklyn.
    Kendall L. Rattley, 20, of Stafford County is charged with impersonating a police officer, obstruction of justice, possession of marijuana and carrying a concealed weapon, police say.
    He is charged in connection with an incident at Spotsylvania Mall.
    A deputy went to the mall about 11:20 a.m. Friday after receiving a report about a suspicious person, that security agents had a confrontation with a man who claimed to be a New York City police officer. but he did not have any valid identification.
    The man told them that he was assigned to the 90th precinct and handed over a plastic card with a picture of a New York patrolman’s badge.
    He didn’t know the telephone number to his office or provide other information to prove a New York police position.
    The man was handcuffed and was being patted down when he told the deputy that he had a BB gun in his possession. A black pellet gun was retrieved from his waistband, along with a small amount of suspected marijuana and a wallet identifying him as Rattley.
