Putin told Netanyahu in Thursday’s phone conversation that the agreement “provided reliable guarantees” that Iran’s nuclear program is exclusively peaceful, according to the Kremlin.

The deal reached earlier this month curbs Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for billions of dollars in relief from sanctions stifling its economy. It has drawn strong criticism from some members of U.S. Congress and Israel. Netanyahu has called the deal a “historic mistake.”

In a call with Netanyahu, Putin said that the agreement would help secure nuclear non-proliferation and “have a positive impact on security and stability in the Middle East.”

Israel plans to lobby the U.S. Congress not to approve the agreement clinched between Iran and world powers in Vienna earlier this month after more than a decade of negotiations.

Under the deal, the United States, European Union and United Nations will lift sanctions against Iran in exchange for Tehran agreeing to long-term curbs on its nuclear program that the West and Israel have feared was aimed at creating a nuclear bomb.

Putin told Netanyahu the deal included “solid guarantees that the Iranian nuclear program will be exclusively peaceful” and that implementing it would “positively impact the security and stability of the Middle East”, according to a Kremlin statement.

    what we witness
    is an unprecedented shift
    in foreign relations ,
    and World leaders take
a hard and close look at the Perils
Awaiting , Due to the Reckless and
deliberate attempt by BHO and his Ilk
to Wreak havoc and Destruction to anything
Good and Helpful all towards a Society and her perpetuity .

so what takes place at present
    is the witnessing of
    True Leaders ,
    though they are few
    very few in numbers
    – them taking notice of the perils awaiting
and trying to halt its speed at least ….

Wouldn’t Iran become a major competitor for Russia in the energy export sector?

Russia is one of the world’s largest energy exporters, most of their economy is tied to energy exports, most of their givernment’s budget is from energy export revenue, and they are already hurting from the competitive pressure and drop in energy prices and the slump in Chinia.

So why are supporting this deal that would loosen sanctions, unshackle Iran and unleash them in global energy market? What is the positive for Russia, besides the warm and fuzzy feeling they would get from performing a purely altruistic, humanitarian act af basic fairness? Has Putin gone Ellul early?

Yeah sure it’s a great deal. After all, inspectors can come in and check on Iran keeping its word—albeit after giving Iran 24 days notice and getting approval to come in and inspect, which by the way, the U.S. And other p5 will NOT be allowed to come in and inspect ; only the UN will!!! Why do you suppose Iran demanded that as one of their conditions?
