Tel Aviv – After a rocket landed in Israel on Thursday, the Israel Air Force responded by attacking a weapons manufacturing target in Gaza, the IDF said.

The site belonged to Hamas and was located in the central part of the coastal territory, according to the IDF.
The army said that it viewed the “Hamas terror organization as solely responsible for what happens in Gaza.”
The rocket fired from Gaza just after midnight on Thursday landed in an open area in Israel in the Eshkol Regional Council.
There were no injuries or damage caused by the rocket fire and no group claimed responsibility for the attack.
An IDF spokesperson said that the rocket alert siren did not sound in the border area before the rocket made impact due to the army’s assessment that the projectile would land in an open area.
Since last summer’s Operation Protective Edge there has been occasional rocket fire from Gaza into Israel with resulting IDF responses coming in the wake of the attacks.
Israel clearly knows about these weapons storage houses. If so, why are they not preemptively destroying them? Everything Israel does security-wise is always reactionary, too late, after Jewish blood had already been spoiled, r’l.
