NY1.com (http://bit.ly/1isRBCv) reports that the poll shows that just 44% of New Yorkers now give the mayor a positive approval rating, down 14 points from February.
In what the poll calls the “SAT score”—which measures how New Yorkers view de Blasio and his administration’s overall performance; including satisfaction with city services, whether or not those polled believe the city is on the right track, and de Blasio’s individual job performance—the mayor scored 51%, down 13 points since February.
Michey Blum, a Baruch College pollster, said there’s good and bad news in the poll for de Balsio, in that while his numbers have slipped, they are still positive.
“There has definitely been a decline,” Blum added. “He hasn’t plummeted, but there has been sort of a steady, slight decline month after month particularly with white residents, white voters in the city. He’s still doing really well with all non-white groups.”
his numbers going down while crime goes up – although he doesn’t see it.
