Brooklyn, NY – A Chasidic man is in the hospital after being beaten late this morning on a Williamsburg street.

35 year old, Moshe Yida Feldman a teacher in Satmar school, victim was walking on Harrison Avenue just before 11:30 this morning when he was beaten from behind by a single assailant who is described as a dark skinned male, possibly of Hispanic origin, approximately 5’4, dressed in a blue shirt and wearing a backpack.
“There are no witnesses so far and right now there is no one who saw anything or knows anything,” Yanky Itzkowitz, coordinator of Williamsburg Shomrim told VIN News.
The victim walked away from the attack scene and a passerby called Shomrim who contacted 911 immediately. No words were exchanged during the assault, which is being investigated by detectives at the 90th Precinct as a possible hate crime.
The victim was taken to Long Island College Hospital with lacerations to his head.
