New York, NY – In the latest twist in conceptual air travel, a proposed supersonic airliner conceived by a Canadian inventor would carry up to 75 passengers from London to New York in just 30-minutes.

CNN.com (http://cnn.it/1So2bYc) reports that the concept—called the Skreemr—is the brainchild of visionary Charles Bombardier, who in the past has presented futuristic ideas that have included an electric, driverless hearse, a sail boat drone, and a submersible military aircraft which he calls a ‘Subplane.”
Bombardier’ says his Skreemr’ would feature a scramjet engine, similar to the unmanned one that hit Mach 5 when launched by the Pentagon in 2013.
Though admittedly years away, Bombardier writes on his website that, “These concepts are far from perfect, but they’re meant to get people thinking.”
Bombardier states that in may indeed be possible for his Skreemr, “maybe in the distant future…to fly passengers across oceans at very high speed.”
So we get to the airport two hours early to go through checkings and takes 1 hour to get our baggage for a half hour flight? Three hours wasted for a half hour flight.
Sounds good.
What is the price? Probably outrageous…
Well… I’ve got a concept to teleport people from a living room in NY to an office in London in mere seconds using 3D printed cryogenic freezing and quantum computing controlling atomic reassemblers. The final product is “years away” and is “far from perfect,” but it’s “made to get people thinking.” Can I get my own CNN article now?
why so negative! This sounds like a brilliant invention and if it does happen in the future will probably be the primary way to travel. I’m sure a light bulb was made fun of too. I for one can’t wait!
were the other supersonics dangers and fell a few times?
Boeing and others proposed new supersonic planes over the years.. The problem is economics. The Concorde lost money for all 25 years of its operation. I’d like to see how this guy can make it economically feasible.
