“The United States warned the Indian government about a potential maritime attack against Mumbai at least a month before last week’s massacre in Mumbai,” the CNN quoted a US counter-terrorism official as saying.

The American network quoted the official as saying that the warning was issued not once but “twice”.

A second government source told ABCnews.com that specific locations, including the Taj Hotel, were listed in the US warning.

“US intelligence indicated that a group might enter the country by water and launch an attack on Mumbai, said the official, who refused to be identified due to the ongoing investigation into the attacks and the sensitivity of the information,” the CNN added.

“Indian security forces have confirmed to CNN that not only did US officials warn them of a water-borne attack in Mumbai — they were told twice. The area entered a higher state of alert for a week, including tightened security measures at hotels, but those efforts were eventually reduced, Indian officials said,” the network, which repeatedly broadcast the story last evening, maintained.

On November 18, Indian intelligence also intercepted a satellite phone call to a number in Pakistan known to be used by a leader of the terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba, believed to be responsible for the weekend attack, Indian intelligence officials were quoted as saying by ABCnews.com.

The Indian intercept also revealed a possible sea-borne attack, it said, citing officials

If this is true then these indians are just a bunch of clowns. Every single law enforcment person should be forced to resign over this (including the so called armed police officers who instead of firing back on these murders were hiding in the train station like civilians). As long as these barbarians are not taken seriously and are not shot dead before they have a chance there is no hope. Bush should have burned the entire region to the ground instaed of wasting so much american lives and money on fighting them. I just hope that bamadrama has a good wakeup call from this.

The government of India should be sued for $700 Billion. Freeze their assets- they are either complicit or inept or both. Certainly a classic (and Horrifying) example of criminal negligence if there ever was one. Do they at least have a color system for Alerts and threat levels like we do in the US ? What was the public told.

    BS”D

Enough of these conspiracy theories. This one is no better than the one where the Mossad warned the US of 9-11. Just a sick attempt on the part of CNN to get attention and ratings on the backs of the kedoishim and the heroic Indian people.

Many decades of U.S. Foreign Aid to India-allegedly to feed their starving masses was used by them solely to pursue Nuclear weapons while millions of their citizens continued to starve. What could is it to have “the bomb”, but Not have a functional police and intelligence community. They don’t deserve to be part of “the club”, they probably don’t deserve the disputed Cashmere Region, or the sweaters that come from there either, for that matter.

There are many in this country that would do the same when receiving terrorist warnings about attacks on US soil. Our gov’t is moving in the same direction. They can’t believe that terrorist really want to hurt us. They believe if we just addressed their concerns we would not be attacked. If we withdrew our support for Israel we would not be attacked.
