Police say Efrin Lanfranco-Perez was arrested on two counts of leaving an accident resulting in death and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.

The 21-year-old Brooklyn man was in custody and unavailable to comment. It wasn’t immediately clear if he had an attorney.

Authorities say Lanfranco-Perez was behind the wheel of a speeding Acura TL sedan early Monday morning that hit Delman Maldonado and Israel Turcios.

They say Lanfranco-Perez also rammed into two parked cars before leaving his car and running away.

The 41-year-old Maldonado, of Queens, and the 56-year-old Turcios, of Brooklyn, were friends and fathers.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
