Authorities say officers responded around 9:20 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian on Ocean Parkway at Ave. X in Brooklyn’s Sheepshead Bay section.

When officers arrived they found a man lying on the street with severe head and facial trauma. He was taken to Coney Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police on Wednesday morning identified the victim as Feliks Dadiomov of Brooklyn. Officers say he was within a marked crosswalk when he was hit while attempting to cross the street against the pedestrian traffic signal.

Officers say the 28-year-old man who was driving the car remained at the scene. He hasn’t been charged.
