Police said that the girl was at the corner of 18th Avenue and 55th Street at 8:12 AM when she was struck by a northbound 2015 Toyota Camry that jumped the curb. According to police, the 48 year old driver of the car suffered an apparent heart attack and was unconscious at the time of the collision.
Surveillance video shows the car narrowly missing a street sign before hitting the girl and driving over a low fence before finally coming to rest in the side yard of 5424 18th Avenue.
Both the driver and the girl were transported to Maimonides Hospital. The girl is said to be in stable condition with a leg injury, while the condition of the driver, who was said to be in critical condition, is still unknown.
anyone know names for tehillim?
I am not so sure Connex should have released the video to the public. At least he should have blurred the part where the car makes actual contact with the poor girl. This is out of common courtesy to the girl and her family.
A Refuah Shleima to all
Apparently the driver suffered a heart attack that caused the accident.
